BIO: I have been a nurse since 1972, if you count my career as an LPN. I graduated from Miami Dade community College in 1984 with my ADN degree, which set the wheels in motion to become a professional student. I obtained my BSN from Florida International University and MSN in Nursing Education from Barry University located in Miami Shores Florida. I decided in addition to teaching nursing, it would be nice to obtain my ARNP specializing in family NP. My ultimate goal was to obtain my doctorate degree. I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2011 with a DNP.

I have taught nursing in both the traditional and online classroom setting since 1994. I have taught at Barry University in the Accelerated BSN program for seven years. We moved to Orlando in 2003 and I obtained a teaching position at University of Central Florida. I currently teach Maternal-Child ,Long Term Care, and Community Health Nursing. I have been teaching for Chamberlain College since 2014. I worked in various clinical settings in the hospital as a staff nurse, NICU, Mother-Baby Unit, and High Risk Mother Unit. I am also a nurse practitioner and was employed in a family practice in South Florida for 3 years.
