Dr. April Ruffin-Adams has been a social work educator since 2013. She began her career at North Carolina A&T State University as a lecturer and field liaison. Since 2016, Dr. Ruffin-Adams has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in African American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to her role in academia, Dr. Ruffin-Adams was employed as a school social worker in North Carolina. At Walden, Dr. Ruffin-Adams serves as a Contributing Faculty member in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
