Degree Program Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

Dr. Gravett is an experienced corporate leader of 25 years, and professor of business with a strong track record of helping create and strategy as operations for industry leaders like Apple, Microsoft, CVS, and JP Morgan Chase.

Dr. Gravett has been an online educator and student. She works with learners in Walden's DBA program as a capstone and dissertation mentor. As a former online learner herself, she fully appreciates the unique challenges of completing doctoral studies in a largely virtual capacity. Her twelve years of online business faculty experience also includes prior roles as a graduate and undergraduate professor with the University of Phoenix, American Inter Continental University, and Colorado Technical University. She also has several years working with doctoral learners on research coursework and committees with University of Phoenix.

She holds a PhD in organizational management, with dual specializations in international business and network technologies. Additional graduate and executive credentials in numerous facets of management and leadership complement her doctoral studies. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and compliance provide real-world insights into applicability. Dr. Gravett also holds two patents for reloadable gift and benefits credit cards. This further demonstrates her strong ability to help learners understand exactly how to bring ideas and apply theory, tangibly and pragmatically in daily business life.

Acute concern for learner development enriches her results. Sincere interest in community improvement is reflected in a history of volunteerism and service with many organizations including regional Humane Society, YMCA, and Cystic Fibrosis boards. Recognized with numerous corporate and civic awards to that end including gubernatorial recognition, top performer awards from Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase, Apple, University of Phoenix and online faculty of the year from Colorado Technical University.

Dr. Gravett specializes in international business, operationalization of strategy, and consumer experience research. Comfortable with a myriad of research techniques her favorites include multi-linear regression, Kano, Lin, and instrument design.
