Tonisha (Toni) Harrison is a certified Adult Primary Care and Family Nurse Practitioner earning her highest degree FNP from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. She received her Masters of Nursing from Phoenix University in 2012 and her first Post Masters in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2015 from Kaplan University. She graduated Bachelors of Nursing from Oakland University in 2009 and her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing in 2003 from Wayne County College. She earned a Diploma in Practical Nursing in 1999.
She currently serves as contributing faculty in the college of Nursing at Walden University. she has held multiple faculty positions in nursing and serves as a preceptor for various APRN programs in acute care .
She is employed full time at Promedica Health system as a certified nurse practitioner at Flower Hospital and has extensive nursing background in emergency and medical surgical nursing.
Her community involvement includes volunteering as a primary care NP at free community care clinic ran entirely by the University of Toledo Medical students. she also serves as an active board member for Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nursing (OAAPN). she has presented locally on inpatient Anemia and Blood Management for Promedica Health system. she also is a committee member for Blood Management. She holds active licenses in OH, MI, and MN.
