Dr. Timothy Rodriguez received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa with an emphasis in reading and bilingual education/ESL. He has worked in higher education for eighteen years. He taught in bilingual education programs in Illinois and Texas and ESL programs in Florida. He has been published in national and regional publications and has presented at the international, level, regional, and state levels. He received the Outstanding Teaching Award at The Ohio-State University-Lima in 2005 and was named a Top Educator by Ohio Magazine the same year. He is on the editorial board for The School Community Journal. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in Education. His research interests include best practices in second-language literacy and stakeholders' views of language.
