Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership
My name is Teresa Dillard. I hail for the State of South Carolina, where I have spent the last 38 years in the educational arena. I currently, hold dual degrees in education and business, with a doctoral degree in education from Capella University, and business degrees from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina. I have been teaching online and face-to-face in both areas for approximately eighteen years. I am currently employed with the lead state education agency in my state, and am involved in its efforts to provide a quality education to students and adults in the state. Areas of support address school reform initiatives, state and federal accountability, and curriculum and instruction, alternative school models, and a variety of initiatives to ensure children have well-rounded educational opportunities, in safe and healthy environments. I also teach business and education courses at local and online colleges and universities, and provide doctoral mentoring services, including committee chair and member. My research interests include literacy and reading, adult learning, curriculum and instruction, business strategy, school quality and school reform.
