Sister Agnes Marie Cummings, IHM, PhD, RN, is an experienced Assistant Professor Nursing with a demonstrated 11- history of working in the higher education industry. Undergraduate, prelicensure face-to-face and RN-to-BSN programs were begun and advanced under Sister Agnes' tutelage s inaugural faculty. Sister Agnes' experience in graduate nursing includes the Masters of Science of Nursing program and in graduate Education in the Higher Ed program--Quantitative Research Design.
Skilled in Nursing Education, Academic Advising, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Curriculum Development, and Neurosurgery, Sister Agnes brings a rich background (20 years) to the Graduate Nursing Program at Walden University. Sister Agnes is a strong healthcare services professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Healthcare Policy and Healthcare Economics from The Catholic University of America. Sister Agnes investigated the under-served and under-serviced populations under the federal poverty level in terms of transition to Medicaid managed care. Sister Agnes published her dissertation research for which she received an award upon completing her PhD studies. At Walden Univeristy, Sister Agnes Marie will teach the core curriculum in the Master's of Science in Nursing.
