Nicole Hayes

Dr. Hayes is a 25-year Army veteran, having served several combat. She is experienced at building and leading diverse teams while designing and implementing organizational change. Her primary focus is developing organizational solutions and strategic assessments for individuals, non-profits, entrepreneurs/small business, and commercial organizations. Dr. Hayes has served at various strategic and operational levels in the military. Dr. Hayes has experience working with congressional staffs, government agencies, private, and veteran service organizations to support client management, federal regulation review/writing and future strategic planning. At Walden University, she is focused on foundation courses for doctoral students and serves as a doctoral mentor for students in PPPA9000.

Dr. Hayes is a post-doctoral fellow with the Polarities of Democracy Institute where she serves as Chair, and was designated the Inaugural Desi Benet Social Change Fellow. She has presented at the Center for Creative Leadership on Diversity and Equality on the polarities of social change and democracy and at Walden residencies for the School of Public Policy & Administration and the School of Criminal Justice. Her current research interests focus primarily on diversity, inclusion and gentrification of underrepresented communities. Dr. Hayes is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
