Nancy Schlapman, PhD, RN has been involved in nursing education for over 30 years. She has taught all levels of nursing students and has held several academic leadership roles. Having been employed at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Indiana University Kokomo and Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and most recently at Walden University, she has spent most of her career in the mid-west. Her area of specialty and expertise is community and public health nursing. Joining Walden University in 2016, Dr. Schlapman is a contributing faculty member in the School of Nursing in the College of Health Sciences. She regularly teaches public health policy and public health nursing courses.
