Miles Matise

Dr. Matise is a core- faculty member for the School of Counseling at Walden University. He has served in the counseling field, in some capacity, for over 20 years, with experience working as a pastoral counselor, mental health counselor, counselor educator, and supervisor. He has worked in community mental health, addiction centers, and private practice.
Dr. Matise received his B.S. from The Citadel Military College and has a Master’s of Divinity and an M.S. in Community Counseling. He did post-graduate work at The University of Northern Colorado, earning a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Certified Addiction Counselor (CACIII), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
His primary research interests are in the areas of spiritual development, contemporary issues facing families, and Ecotherapy as a healing modality for mental health issues.
