Dr. Gatlin received his PhD in Nursing Administration and Education from William Carey University. He then completed the Family Nurse Practitioner post-certificate from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018. Dr. Gatlin served as Associate Professor of Nursing within the MSN, RN-BSN, LPN-BSN, BSN, HAE-BS, and HAE-MS tracks.
He joined Walden University in 2018 as Contributing Faculty member, within the College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing. At Walden, he teaches within the MSN track. He has served over two decades in various roles with healthcare and education.
Dr. Gatlin's current research interest focus primarily on antibiotic resistance, and concept-based education. He also serves as a journal reviewer for the MEDSURG Nursing Journal. Dr. Gatlin has presented several times at the Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse Conference.
