Dr. Magy Martin’s formal training is in Counseling and Clinical Psychology where she has served in various roles over her 30+ year career. Dr. Martin served as a Clinical and Consultant Psychologist most recently in Youngstown, OH. She was a faculty member and a therapist facilitating clinical training, curriculum design, consulting and assessment at both online and brick and mortar schools. At Walden University, she teaches the doctoral capstone and various other courses. Dr. Martin has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees.
Dr. Martin’s current research interests focus primarily on children, adolescent and family issues, clinical development, and research. She has presented at numerous local, regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Martin has published over 28 peer-reviewed articles as well as 9 books on children, adolescent, and family issues in psychology. She received the Faculty Excellence Award for 2018 from Walden University.
