Dr. Lori Wichman received her DNP in Nursing Leadership and Management at Walden University in February 2018. She currently serves as the Director of Nursing and Emergency Medical Services at Pensacola State College and has served in this role since August 2017. Dr. Wichman is also adjunct faculty at Pensacola State University in the BSN program since May 2018. She also began as a part-time faculty member at Walden in the School of Nursing August 2018. She has also Foundations of Nursing, Gerontology, Community Health, Medical-Surgical Courses, and Nursing Leadership and Management, Portfolio 1, Professional Roles, and Organizational Behavior at other colleges. Professionally, Dr. Wichman has worked as a nurse and staff development officer in the United States Air Force and has worked extensively on process improvement project to improve the safety and quality of patient care projects. She has a given a number of presentations on infection prevention, improving the practice of bedside reporting, and interactive teaching strategies. Dr. Wichman is an active member of the National League of Nursing, American Nurses Association, and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses. Dr. Wichman holds nursing licenses in California since June 2003, Alaska since October 2014, and Florida since May 2016.
