Dr. Latoya Wells has over years 25 of experience within the academic setting. Including instructing students at the Associates, Bachelors and Masters degree levels.

Dr. Wells will serves as a Contributing Faculty member within the Family Nurse Practitioner Masters degree program. Dr. Wells brings with her a wealth of experience both didactic and clinical.

Having close to elven years of clinical practice her area of expertise is family medicine and over twenty-six years of nursing expertise. She has provided care to patients in the following areas internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, in-patient, out-patient, hospice, home-health, skilled care, long-term care, and medical-psychiatry. Dr. Wells has a strong research interest in use of Motivational Interviewing within clinical practice. Having completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice Capstone on Motivational Interviewing with Tobacco Cessation, an educational module for Nurse Practitioners.
