Katherine Gryzenia received her Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences, specializing in Pharmacology, from the University of South Alabama and completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Her contributions to the field of steroid hormone receptor signaling include eight publications in peer-reviewed journals and three presentations at national meetings. Katherine has been a member of the American Association for Colleges of Pharmacy, The Endocrine Society, and The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. She has received a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research Planning Grant from NASA and an Intramural Research Training Award from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Katherine has enjoyed teaching pharmacology in various educational programs since 2009, and she joined Walden University as a Contributing Faculty in the Master of Science in Nursing program in 2019.
