I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Georgia. In addition, an MPH from the University of South Florida and a PhD in Health Education and Health Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Much of my career has been spent in various administrative positions with federal and health and social service agencies. My public health practice and research experience has primarily focused on issues related to maternal and child health, disabilities/chronic conditions and community-based health. I have taught classes on Adolescent Health, Health Policy, Cultural Issues in Health Promotion, Population Health, Organizing Community Action for Health Education and Program Planning, Design and Evaluation.
