Dr. Frese grew up and currently lives in Wisconsin, but has resided in Colorado, California, Washington (state), Florida, and Japan.
Her teaching experience includes 25 years in public elementary and middle schools and 16 years in higher education. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her Bachelors degree in Special Education and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction-Reading, and completed her Doctorate in Curriculum Leadership (with an emphasis in Instructional Technology) at the University of Denver. Dr. Frese's most recent degree is in Psychology from Regis University in Denver. She also attended University of Colorado-Denver to take coursework in Counseling Psychology.
In addition to caring for her mother, Dr. Frese serves as a doctoral chair and committee member at Walden. She is currently mentoring teams at two institutions who are participating in the Higher Learning Commission Assessment Academy of Student Learning program. Recently, she became involved with the Family Aging and Disability Services program in her community. In addition to mentoring a fourth-grade student, Dr. Frese works with seniors to set up a personal email account, send emails, take pictures, and access the Internet using a computer tablet.
Dr. Frese loves to cook, hike, read, and watch foreign films.
