Dr. Henke has been a Contributing Faculty member at Walden University since 2010. She teaches communication courses for both the Master's in Communication programs and the Bachelor's in Communication programs. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Rhetoric and Communication where she wrote her dissertation A Credibility Study of the Public Sources of Information during the Nuclear Power Plant Accident at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant of 1979. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in Speech Communication and wrote a Master's Thesis on The Yippie Movement, an anti-Vietnam War movement active in the late 1960's and early 1970's. It was a rhetorical study of their rhetoric and performance theatre activities during that period. She has taught for Millersville University where she was a full-time, tenured, Associate Professor of Communication for 21 years. She also taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication at John Carroll University, and adjunct professor of communication at the University of Pittsburgh, Hope College and South University. In total, Dr. Henke has been a university professor for 36 years.
