College of Management and Technology
After 5 years Navy active duty and earning an MBA, I spent five years in international business, including coordinating strategy as Latin America Marketing Director, with Baxter Laboratories, a Fortune 500 healthcare Company. I was a daily Newspaper Publisher for 20 years, serving as chief operating officer and finance manager and having the opportunity to create a product daily. My wife, Donna, and I owned a small business for 11 years, enabling a different business perspective than viewed from large business. I have been teaching online since 2004, primarily facilitating courses in business statistics, finance, economics, marketing, supply chain management, and strategy. Since earning my Ph.D. in global business in 2006, I have added mentoring doctoral students, dissertation committee work and teaching research courses, including residencies, to my resume. I also enjoy participating in research projects with my students as well as contributing to global financial and economic research myself. Donna and I have three grown (as they like to remind me) children - two married - and five grandchildren. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling to see our grandchildren, located in Kansas City, Florida and Atlanta, and traveling to the many interesting places in the World. I presently serve as president of ABC, the local development organization in Anderson. I am a member of Rotary, which is a civics business group. I serve on the Board of the Alston Oaks Homeowners Association.
