Dr. Christina Dent received her PhD in Nursing at the University of Phoenix in November 2017. She currently serves as a faculty member in the MSN Nursing Informatics program at Walden University and has served in this role since January 2019. She has been licensed in the state of Georgia since July 1996. She has taught nursing leadership, community and rural health nursing, and pediatrics at other colleges. Professionally, Dr. Dent has worked as an emergency room and a medical/surgical nurse. She has worked in leadership roles in rural hospitals, home health and community health settings. Currently, she is a clinical nursing educator for a 181-bed regional hospital. She actively participates in the Georgia Association for Nursing Education and National League of Nursing serving on boards and volunteering on various committees. She serves as a peer evaluator for the Accreditation Commission for Nursing in Education. She has a conducted a number of presentations on high fidelity simulation in nursing education.
