Catherine M. Gibbons, Ed.D. has served as an adjunct professor for 18 years with 15 years of online experience. She has a Bachelors in special/elementary education, a Master's in special education/reading, and a Reading Diagnostician Doctoral Degree.

Dr. Gibbons has experience working with children in grades Pre-K through 12th grade for the past 20 years. Currently she serves the reading specialist for grades 7th through 12th at Gateway Regional High School. She is a board member for the West Jersey Reading Council. She is passionate about using researched best practices in literacy instruction. She believes in using diagnostic assessment to guide her differentiated instruction in the classroom. She uses ongoing progress monitoring to adjust her instruction and enhance student achievement. Setting goals with students to determine where they are and where they need to go next is important. This practice drives student success.

She believes in teacher collaboration, learning communities, and teacher facilitated peer led discussions. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing, researching/learning, and running.
