For over 25 years as a trainer, consultant and college-level educator, Barbara A. Bailey, PhD has combined professional experiences in the private sector, the public sector, and higher education. Based in the Southeastern United States, Dr. Bailey participates in various entrepreneurial activities and joint ventures. She has served as an on-ground full-time faculty member and adjunct faculty member for various colleges and universities, teaching economics, management and leadership, research methodology, statistics, and presentation skills. Since 1999, she has served as an online educator, working with undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students. Dr. Bailey currently holds a core faculty appointment at Walden University in the College of Management and Technology, masters' of business programs, and serves as the Lead Faculty member.
Dr. Bailey completed her doctoral studies at Georgia State University with a degree in Higher Education Administration and completed all doctoral coursework in Industrial Relations. Over twenty years, she has contracted as a third party neutral (mediator and arbitrator) in Georgia and for the US Department of Justice, conducting ADA mediations. Since 1996, Dr. Bailey has worked as a keynote speaker or a seminar/workshop leader over 150 times throughout the United States; in 2002, she created and hosted her own radio program, presenting business best practice information with significant guests in their fields.
Dr. Bailey co-created two Atlanta-based non-profit organizations as part of her focus on positive social change in her communities. Dr. Bailey served as a member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners (2005; 2006). Her primary research interest focuses on the myriad aspects of women in conflict; her first long-form book on the subject will be published in 2019.
