Dr. Anniece Spencer is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her BSN from Tennessee State University, MSN from The Pennsylvania State University and DNP from The University of Alabama Birmingham. She has nursing experience in the following areas: inpatient medical surgical, home health, hospice, federally qualified health centers, education and diabetes medical device industry. In 2012, Ms. Spencer published a literature review titled “Hypertensive African American women and the DASH diet” in the February 2012 issue of The Nurse Practitioner Journal. In 2017 she published 'Factors Influencing Participation in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program: A DNP Project" in The Journal of the National Black Nurses Association Summer 2017 edition.
In the community Dr. Spencer is a member of St. Louis Nurses in Advanced Practice and member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In 2018 she was awarded the State Award of Excellence for Missouri from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
