Andrea M. Wilson has served in many roles at all levels of the education environment from pre-Kindergarten thru graduate school. Dr. Wilson has worked in the field of public education as a special education teacher and administrator for more than a decade. In that time, she has developed and taught professional development courses for educators in special education. In addition, she has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the fields of psychology and education. Dr. Wilson has been fortunate to serve as a founding member and team chair of the Research Review Board for a major public school system in the Atlanta, GA area. In addition to her roles in the classroom, Dr. Wilson has significant research interests in the areas of school improvement planning, student behavior and discipline, and the application of data-driven methods for the improvement of school district performance in special education services. Dr. Wilson's combination of education and experience in the fields of psychology and education allows her to bring a unique perspective to research, teaching, and mentoring activities.
