Amy works as contributing faculty for Walden University teaching courses in health communication and professional preparation. She is MCHES and volunteers for the Division Board for the Certification of Health Education Specialists with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC). Her professional passions include health education and community-based suicide prevention endeavors. She is instructor certified in Mental Health First Aid and Question Persuade Refer suicide prevention gatekeeping training. Her research includes studies on the utilization of the national suicide prevention lifeline and clergy’s knowledge and experience with suicide prevention.
