Heidi Hayes Jacobs, EdD

As president of Curriculum Designers, Inc., Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs works with K–12 schools and districts on issues and practices related to curriculum reform, instructional strategies to encourage critical thinking, and strategic planning. She has consulted with educational organizational and schools nationally and internationally. Her work is featured in various video series and numerous professional journals. Her books include Interdisciplinary Curriculum: Design and Implementation, Mapping the Big Picture: Integrating Curriculum and Assessment K–12, and Curriculum 21: Essential Education for a Changing World. Since 1981, she has been an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she completed her doctoral work.
