Background

Dr. Carmichael currently serves as therapist, staff development officer, and quality measures coordinator with Weems Mental Health as well as being a contributing faculty member in the School of Counseling at Walden University. She regularly engages in research, grant development, and public speaking, and she is currently appointed to the Mississippi State Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors. Dr. Carmichael has received numerous national, regional, and state awards for her leadership, scholarship, and research.
