Dr. Reed teaches courses and at residencies for Walden’s School of Counseling. For more than 10 years, Dr. Reed has served as a counselor and as an advocate and mentor for developing counselors. She views counseling as a collaborative process in which clients have the opportunity to explore themselves and their connection to others. As a therapist and consultant, she has worked in communities with underrepresented groups, specifically children with mental and physical disabilities and their families. She has also worked in a residential treatment facility for adolescent girls, as an academic advisor in a large university, and as a career counselor. Her academic work on adolescent and professional coping strategies has been both presented and published.
