Dr. Jenkins is a core faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She has 20 years of experience working with survivors of abuse and their family members. She has more than 10 years of experience as a counselor working with clients who cannot afford to pay for services. She is licensed in Ohio and Michigan as a counselor. She has published articles on animal-assisted therapy and has presented locally, regionally, and nationally on various topics. Dr. Jenkins is also very involved in professional counseling organizations. She is the past president of the Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and was the recipient of the 2014 Counselor of the Year award from the Ohio Counseling Association.
