That’s why we partner with leading professional organizations to provide you, as an organization member, with an opportunity to translate your certifications into academic credit for a number of our online degree programs.

We currently offer an opportunity for transfer credit to members of the following organizations and to individuals who hold the following certifications:

Accounting Certifications

You may be eligible to receive transfer credit for certain courses in Walden’s accounting programs if you hold one of the following certifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)

If you hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, you may be eligible to receive transfer credit for certain courses in Walden’s management programs.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

If you hold a CFA Level I, II, or III, you may be able to receive transfer credit for certain courses in School of Management programs.

Child Development Associate (CDA)

If you hold a CDA credential in the center-based setting, you may qualify for transfer of credit articulation for certain child development programs or concentrations.

IT Certifications

You may be eligible to receive transfer credit for certain courses in Walden’s School of Technology and Applied Science programs if you hold one of the following certifications:

• CompTIA Security+

• CompTIA Networks+

• CISCO ICND Part I (Exam 640-822)

• CISCO ICND Part II (Exam 640-816)

• CISCO CCNA (Exam 640-802)

• Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I

• Oracle Database 11g: Administration I

• CompTIA Project+

• Sun/Oracle Java Associate (Exam CX-310-019)

• Sun/Oracle Java Professional (Exam CX-310-055 or Exam CX-310-065)

National Board Certified Teachers

If you are a National Board Certified teacher or are in the process of earning your certification, you may be eligible to receive transfer of credit for certain courses in your education program.

Project Management Institute (PMI)

You may be eligible to receive transfer credit for certain courses in your management program if you hold one of the following designations:

• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)^®

• PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)^®

• PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)^®

• Project Management Professional (PMP)^®

• Program Management Professional (PgMP)^®

• Graduate Certificate in Project Management

• Master’s degree in project management (from outside Walden)

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

You may be eligible to receive transfer credit for certain courses in your management program if you hold one of the following designations:

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR)

• Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)

• Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)

Walden alumni may be eligible to apply credits from a past degree program when returning to enroll in another program.
