Build Your Education Plan (BYEP) is a personalized online degree roadmap that gives you everything you need to plan your education in just three minutes. It provides a clear estimate of costs, a personalized graduation timeline, and key program details—customized to your goals. It’s a fast, easy way to explore your options and take control of your education.

With BYEP, you can:

  • Discover programs that match your career goals.
  • Understand tuition costs, including eligible partnership savings and financial aid for those who apply and qualify.
  • See your graduation timeline tailored to your schedule.
What do I need to build my own education plan?

To create your education plan, you’ll answer a few quick questions about your educational interests, the type of degree you want to pursue (such as a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate), your career goals, and the field you’re interested in. You’ll also provide details about whether you have access to partnership savings or qualify for loans or financial aid.

In just minutes, you’ll receive a personalized education estimate of program costs and graduation timeline, as well as degree recommendations—all tailored to your goals.

BYEP helps you quickly determine if your employer or organization is part of this network and includes any eligible savings in your personalized plan.

Your personalized tuition plan provides a clear starting point to help you explore your options. However, the costs shown are estimates and may vary based on factors like transfer credits, program requirements, and your unique circumstances.

Walden alumni who have completed a degree program can save 25% on tuition over the lifetime of their program when they return for their next degree or certificate program and start classes February 24, 2025, and after. Applicants must reside in the U.S. and enroll in Walden’s Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice, MS in Forensic Psychology, PhD in Forensic Psychology, BS in Criminal Justice, MS in Criminal Justice (course-based and Tempo Learning), PhD in Criminal Justice, PhD in Criminal Justice (Fast Track), MS in Criminal Justice Leadership and Executive Management, BS in Human Services, MS in Psychology, MS in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology, MS in Developmental Psychology, MS in Human Services, Master of Public Administration (MPA), MS in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, PhD in I/O Psychology, PhD in Psychology, PhD in Developmental Psychology, PhD in Clinical Psychology, PsyD in Behavioral Health Leadership, Doctor of Public Administration (DPA), PhD in Public Policy and Administration, Doctor of Human Services, or PhD in Human Services program on or after February 24, 2025. Eligible students receive a 5% tuition reduction combined with Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship when they enroll in a program eligible for the Believe & Achieve Scholarship. For programs not eligible for the Walden’s Believe & Achieve Scholarship, the tuition reduction is 15% for the life of the program. Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This tuition reduction cannot be retroactively applied. Fill out the 2024-2025 FAFSA if you are starting your program on or after May 27, 2024. Fill out the 2025-2026 FAFSA if you are starting your program on or after 5/26/2025. Upon receipt of your FAFSA, the FAFSA Processing System will analyze your application and forward a FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly known as Student Air Report) to you and Walden’s Office of Financial Aid within three to five business days. Read the report carefully as it contains important information about your eligibility for aid. If you have any questions while completing the FAFSA, call the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) at 1-800-433-3243.

Save 25% on tuition over the lifetime of your degree program (excluding certificates) if you are the spouse, parent, or child of an enrolled Walden University student and start classes on or after February 24, 2025. Students must contact their Enrollment Specialist to learn more or apply. Must be newly reserved students entering their first term at Walden and demonstrate a need or other extenuating life circumstances to be eligible. The criteria for selecting recipients to receive the benefit must demonstrate need or other extenuating life circumstances. Any Office of the President benefit is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Save up to 15% on tuition if you and a family member§ start a new Walden program on the same start date.

Eligibility: New students who are family members§ who begin a Walden program on the same start date, on or after February 24, 2025. Continuing Eligibility: Students will remain eligible as long as they are enrolled in the eligible program and have not withdrawn for more than a year. 

Selection Criteria: Eligible applicants accepted into an eligible program will be automatically awarded upon receipt of proof of eligibility.
