Yulanda Tyre, Ph.D., MBA, LPC-S, received her Ph.D., in Counselor Education and Supervision from Auburn University. She currently serves in a part-time capacity as a Contributing Faculty in the Department of Counseling at Walden University. She additionally serves at Liberty University as Professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies. She is owner of thriving clinical practice, Reignite Therapeutic Services. She is ADOS-2 and EMDR trained and holds over 20 years of counseling and teaching experience which she uses to serve her clients and community. She is an active part of her professional community presenting on the state, national and international levels. She recently served as the Alabama Counseling Association and a current Executive Board member for the Alabama Area Mental Health Authority. She is a published author in several text and journals and is a journal editor for the Alabama Counseling Association Journal along with the Journal of Faith and Integration. Her research interest includes, counselor wellness and self-care, bicultural supervision, autism, midlife transitions in women and spiritual integration.
