Youssef Makki is a doctoral-level nurse practitioner based in the Detroit Metro area, recognized for his extensive clinical expertise and academic background in psychiatric mental health. After earning a Bachelor of Social Work, he advanced his clinical training through a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing, ultimately receiving his Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Michigan – Flint in 2024. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) Provider, he has spent his career delivering evidence-based care and comprehensive diagnostic assessments. Since 2023, he has been a key clinician at Core Psych, PLLC in Dearborn.

Beyond his direct practice, Youssef serves as a dedicated clinical preceptor, mentoring the next generation of Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students. His commitment to the field is further evidenced by his work in curriculum development, including the design of behavioral medicine rotation syllabi. Currently, he is exploring the intersection of healthcare and technology, researching a strategic career pivot into biomedical and health systems engineering. This transition reflects a career-long dedication to systemic improvement, combining his rigorous medical training with a burgeoning interest in the technical infrastructure of modern medicine.
