Dr. Victoria Nagel, PhD, LCADC, CCS, LPC, ACS, NCC, BC-TMH is a counselor educator, clinician, and workforce development leader with over 11 years of experience in addictions and behavioral health. She serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Counseling at Walden University, where she is passionate about supporting students’ academic, professional, and personal growth.
Since 2020, Dr. Nagel has taught across graduate and undergraduate programs and has extensive experience developing and delivering training for counseling and behavioral health professionals. Her teaching areas include counseling theories, multicultural counseling, addiction counseling, and clinical supervision, with a focus on helping students translate theory into meaningful, real-world practice.

Her research interests center on clinical supervision, particularly supervisor self-efficacy in substance use disorder counseling, as well as counselor identity development, workforce resilience, and inclusive, stigma-reducing approaches to care.
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Nagel serves as the Director of Clinical Training and Workforce Development at the New Jersey Prevention Network, where she leads initiatives to strengthen the addiction workforce. She is also the founder of Resilience to Thrive Counseling and Consulting, providing clinical services, supervision, and professional consultation.

Dr. Nagel is actively engaged in the counseling profession through presentations, publications, and leadership roles in organizations such as NAADAC and the New Jersey Addiction Professional Association. She is committed to preparing ethical, competent counselors who are equipped to make a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
