Valeria Balogh

Valeria Balogh received her PhD in 2019 from Walden University in Health Psychology. Prior to her pursuit of her psychology degree, she spent 15 years in the health and wellness field as a personal trainer, yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and integrative health coach for which she holds two certifications. These pursuits guided her toward her current professional path as a health psychology researcher and instructor at the post-secondary level. Dr. Balogh has been teaching for over 10 years and teaches varied courses within the psychology discipline including health psychology, learning & behavior, developmental psychology, and research methods to name a few. She has several conference presentations and publications, mainly in the area of women’s health (notably preconception health beliefs and attitudes), as well as current research in health and wellness coaching in the clinical setting. Behavior change and health are her two main areas of expertise.
