Traci Miller-Earl

Dr. Traci Miller-Earl, Ed.D., LCSW-BACS, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, psychotherapist, educator, consultant, and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years of experience in mental health, higher education, leadership, and human services. Licensed in Louisiana, she has extensive experience working across private practice, school-based mental health, community mental health, and clinical supervision settings, supporting individuals and families navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, burnout, life transitions, and women’s mental health concerns.
Dr. Miller-Earl earned her Doctorate in Executive Educational Leadership with a concentration in Mental Health and Human Services from Houston Christian University. Her professional work is grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches that empower individuals to heal, grow, and realign with their purpose both personally and professionally.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Miller-Earl serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Master of Social Work program at Walden University, where she teaches graduate-level social work courses in online and hybrid learning environments. Her teaching experience includes coursework related to human behavior, clinical social work practice, children and families, trauma, ethics, and professional development. She is passionate about mentoring future social workers, helping students strengthen their clinical competence, critical thinking skills, and professional identity while bridging the gap between theory and real-world practice.
Dr. Miller-Earl is also the founder and clinical director of Changing Directions Counseling & Consulting, where she provides psychotherapy, clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development services. Through her leadership and consulting work, she supports clinicians, educators, and organizations in creating wellness-centered, equitable, and culturally responsive environments.
Known for her compassionate leadership style and dedication to service, Dr. Miller-Earl is deeply committed to advancing mental health awareness, supporting underserved communities, and preparing the next generation of social workers and helping professionals to thrive in diverse practice settings.
