Tracey Whetstone
Dr. Tracey F. Whetstone earned her Doctor of Social Work degree from Walden University in November 2020. She brings over 25 years of comprehensive social work experience across diverse fields including public health, special education, veterans’ affairs, social services, and school mental health. For the past 11 years, she has served as a dedicated school social worker, advocating for the well-being and academic success of students.
In May 2025, Dr. Whetstone joined the faculty at Walden University as a part-time instructor in the School of Social Sciences, where she is committed to mentoring the next generation of social work professionals. Her scholarly work includes a publication and multiple presentations in academic and professional settings, particularly focused on adolescent mental health and core social work competencies. Dr. Whetstone’s passion for education and mental health continues to shape her impact in both practice and academia.
