Toi Durham

Dr. Toi Monique Durham, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, nurse educator, and academic leader with more than 30 years of nursing experience and over a decade of experience in higher education. Her formal areas of teaching include mental health nursing, community and public health nursing, leadership, health promotion, and professional nursing practice.
Her academic career has included faculty and leadership appointments in associate, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing education programs, where she has taught both didactic and clinical courses.
At Walden University, Dr. Durham serves as a contributing nursing educator committed to fostering student success through evidence-based teaching, scholarly engagement, and the development of future nursing leaders. She is dedicated to preparing nurses to address complex healthcare challenges through critical thinking, advocacy, and lifelong learning.
