Dr. Thomas O’Grady completed his graduate education in public health from the University at Albany School of Public Health receiving an M.P.H. degree in 2012 and a Ph.D. degree in 2014. Prior to pursuing public health Dr. O’Grady received a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After graduating Dr. O’Grady began teaching and helped to create new online graduate classes at the University at Albany School of Public Health in the biostatistics and epidemiology department. Dr. O’Grady has also taught and developed public health classes at the graduate and undergraduate level for Excelsior College and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. O’Grady’s primary area of interest is chronic disease epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, and research methods and has received awards for his research. Dr. O’Grady has worked in various capacities with the state and federal government on public health projects related to cancer, patient quality and safety in healthcare, and the opioid epidemic. Dr. O’Grady will be a contributing faculty member in the health sciences at Walden University.
