In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Tabitha Perrigo received her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Alabama in July 2014. She is a part-time faculty member in the College of Nursing at Waldon University and has served in the role since March 2018. Dr. Perrigo has taught NUNP-6640/6635, PRAC-6640/6635. and NUR-6670. She has taught Introduction to Psychology and Human Growth and Development at other colleges. Dr. Perrigo has worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2004 in the community mental health setting. She provided psychiatric medication monitoring to individuals with serious mental illnesses. Dr. Perrigo has mentored Doctor of Nursing Practice students and served as a committee member for Doctor of Behavioral Health students. She has published research and provided professional developmental education to healthcare workers.
