In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Suzanne is an energetic leader and educator with extensive experience in the health sector, higher education and technology business development. Her background includes over 28 years of progressive executive experience implementing & supporting HIT platforms as well as liaison relationships involving NIH research. Her publication history includes innovations in eHealth & health care CRM. Suzanne lead teams toward national recognitions such as Most Wired Hospitals and Microsoft Corporation National innovation awards.
She currently holds a full-time, academic appointment at Ashford University, an innovative, online university based in San Diego California. She is also an adjunct associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Schools of Health Information Management & Graduate School of Public Health MHA program. She also teaches business strategy in the MBA program at Carlow University, a faith-based, liberal arts University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Her current activities include Vice Chair of the Board of Heritage Valley Health System, an integrated delivery system in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania region. She founded, Innovation Advising, LLC who advises both business and higher education sectors using their Skills2030 ® brand. Suzanne is passionate about the linkage between education and the private sector and works diligently to align private sector partnerships with higher education organizations to advance the capabilities of human capital.
