Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Nursing is my second career and my chosen career. I have been a nurse for over 15 years
years with a background as a critical care nurse, nurse manager, nurse educator, and family
nurse practitioner. I have a BA in political science from the University of Houston. I earned
my RN at Lone Star College-Cyfair. My BSN was earned from the University of Texas-
Arlington, as well as my MSN in nursing administration with a certificate in education. I
received my FNP from Texas Woman's University-Houston and my DNP at Texas Tech
University in Lubbock. I am originally from Wisconsin, but my entire nursing career has
been in the Houston area. Many of my years were spent working in the county hospital
with a diverse community. I have worked as a critical care nurse, nurse manager, nursing educator, university professor, family nurse practitioner, and mental health nurse practitioner. I enjoyed working in the hospital, virtually and in the clinic setting. I enjoy serving many cultures and different ethnic groups.
I enjoy teaching students and patients and have found nursing to be an enjoyable career. In my
