Sharita M. Cole received her DNP in Advanced Practice Leadership at Chamberlain College of Nursing in December, 2015. She specializes as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. Dr. Cole is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the states of Minnesota, Mississippi, and Tennessee. She currently serves as a part-time clinical instructor at Walden University and has served in this role since July, 2016. Dr. Cole has mentored numerous new graduate nurse practitioners since 2013. Professionally, she is affiliated with multiple nursing organizations that include Mississippi Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Greater Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and International Nurses Association. Dr. Cole has performed research in the clinic setting which focused on self-care hypertension management through home blood pressure monitoring.
