Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

I am Dr. Sean Harris, Chief Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner Residency Director for the Kansas City VA Medical Center, Missouri. I have a Bachelor of Biology, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Certificate of Public Health, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. I have been a nursing instructor since 2014 and have taught a variety of courses at Lincoln University for the School of Nursing and the Department of Science and Innovative Learning. I have experience teaching clinical and didactic courses, both seated and virtual. I have even had the pleasure of teaching blended courses (which can be more challenging). I am excited to join you on your journey to your MSN and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Some of my teaching experience includes Anatomy and Pathophysiology, and undergraduate and graduate nursing courses.
In addition to my experience as a university faculty and Chief Advanced Practice Nurse, I have served as a primary care provider, Quality and Risk Management Champion, Assistant Chief of Hospital Education, Assistant Director of Infectious Disease Management and Emergency Preparedness, Chief of Family Practice, Flight Surgeon (Aeromedical Nurse Practitioner), Adult Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner, Chief of Operations and Interim Chief Executive Officer of a Federally Qualified Health Center. Additionally, I am Chair of the Board of Directors of The Rolla Mission, a homeless and emergency shelter in Missouri.
