Dr. Sandra Johnson is a part time faculty mentor in the Walden University Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership: Special Education. She is a Professor Emeritus, State University of New York (SUNY) at Empire State College where she taught courses in the field of human services for 20 years. Dr. Johnson also developed web courses and taught online for SUNY. Her areas of expertise are: Addiction Studies, Adult Learning/Learning Theories/How we Learn, and Mental Health (Trauma Counselor). She has lectured on: Child Abuse and Neglect, The Impact of Trauma on the Developing Brain, Adults abused as Children, Counselors and Vicarious Trauma, Veterans and PTSD, and Historical Trauma.
