Dr. Samantha Walton is a dedicated nursing faculty member specializing in advanced practice nursing and healthcare leadership. She started her career in healthcare in 2013 and began nursing education in 2018. Dr. Walton has established a reputation for excellence in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Currently serving as an adjunct faculty member in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University, Dr. Walton supports students in developing clinical reasoning, leadership skills, and evidence-based practice.

Dr. Walton’s primary research interests focus on health disparities, compassionate and inclusive care, and strategies to enhance student engagement and resilience in nursing education. Her subject matter expertise includes family practice, chronic disease management, and health and wellness advocacy.

Before transitioning into academia, Dr. Walton’s professional background encompassed diverse roles in clinical nursing, including family practice, health promotion, and case management. She maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.
