Rotasha Madden received her Doctorate in Social Work at Capella University in May 2022. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty (Virtuual Alabama) in the Undergraduate Social Work Program at Walden University and has served in the role since May 2024. In addition, Dr. Madden serves as an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at Talladega College. She teaches Introduction to Gerontology (SS 250 OL), Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SW 350 OL), and Social Work Case Management (SW 403 OL). Dr. Madden holds certifications as a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), Alcohol and Drug Counselor, The International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), and Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP). She also serves as the Clinical Program Manager with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Community Justice Programs and a part-time Behavioral Health Therapist with Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Madden has worked in the social service sector for about 16 years, with 13 of those years being in the field of substance use. She has experience in Child abuse and Neglect, substance use case management, mental health treatment, substance use treatment, and substance use prevention.
