Robert C. Marmo, PhD, LMSW is a scholar-practitioner in social work with formal teaching and research expertise in macro social work practice, criminal justice systems, program evaluation, research methods, and advanced social work policy. He holds a PhD in Social Work from Fordham University, an MSW with a concentration in planning, administration, and research from Stony Brook University, and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State. Professionally, Dr. Marmo served as the Chief Planner for the Suffolk County Department of Probation from 2005-2026. He is also an Institutional Review Board member at Stony Brook University, Molloy College, and Cambridge Health Alliance, serving in the specialized role of Prisoner Advocate for human subjects research.
