Patty Nielsen

Patricia Nielsen is a Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2007. She has been a nurse since 1995. She received her BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1995. She received her MSN from Valparaiso University in 2006 and her FNP Certificate in May 2007. She also has her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Valparaiso University in 2010. Her DNP Project was on Stroke Protocol and Patient Outcomes. Dr. Nielsen has worked in various settings as a nurse both at the bedside and as a case manager/social worker. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at SMH Emergency Room from 2007~ 2025, currently works at an Urgent care setting. She is married to her husband Andy of 42 years. They have 3 children, Jon (Emily) has 3 children Lizzy, 15; Megan 13; and Josh 12. Doug (Katie) has 2 children (Charlotte 13 and Joseph 10). Andy (Laura) and Nora, 7 years old, and Ryan 3 weeks. When she is not busy working, she enjoys reading or watching old movies.
