In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. O. Danny Lee received his PhD in Nursing and Health Policy at the University of Southern Mississippi in December 2005. Dr. Lee is a board certified clinical nurse specialist and is certified as a nurse educator. He holds registered nursing licenses in Mississippi and Louisiana. He currently serves as a contributing part-time faculty in the Masters of Science Nursing Program since September 2011. Dr. Lee has previous teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing education. Dr. Lee has taught research, policy, advance practice nursing roles, management, clinical education strategies, and various preceptor programs. Professionally, Dr. Lee has worked in quality management / utilization management / case management, critical care, cardiac, home health, and medical surgical nursing. Dr. Lee’s research interests include, men’s health, gender specific learning strategies, impact of policy and political activism on healthcare, nursing education, distant learning, and tele health. He has published and presented locally, nationally and internationally on a variety men’s health issues and topics.
